Introduction

Let me start off by saying hello and welcome to my blog!

*insert virtual hug here*

This is something I have been wanting to do for a very long time, as I’m sure every blogger has expressed, so I finally decided to trust my gut and go for it. Well, that and also a “little” push from a few supportive family members and friends.

I’m still working on setting up my site and making it what I’m envisioning it to be, but I’m now realizing that it won’t happen overnight (there’s a lot of work that goes into building a blog…who knew!). I’ve already spent hours trying to pick and choose layouts and logos, but I came to the conclusion that I need to just start somewhere and work my way up to where I want to be.

Anyway, I’ll skip all of the jibber jabber and get on with my introduction..

My name is Marissa. I am a 29 year old stay at home wife and mom. My husband and I have been married for 5 blissful years (and counting!) and we have 2 beautiful children (and counting?)…

*that question mark was necessary. I didn’t miss it during spell check.

Moving on…

I grew up on a tiny island in the Maritimes but I now live on a small, quaint acreage in rural Alberta. I am a lover of music, baking/cooking, make up, crafting and raising my littles. I have an irrational fear of 3D movies, I believe that a bubble bath can cure the lousiest of days and I’m immediately cranky if I wake up and see dirty dishes in my sink. I inherited my sassy personality from my generous mother and my outgoing nature from my social father.

I’m a simple girl, living a simple, yet chaos filled, life and I’ve created this blog for the sole purpose of sharing it with others. Whether it’s sharing a Pinterest worthy recipe, recommending a new item of make up I’ve tried or venting about the trials and victories this life brings; Past, present and future. To be as real, raw and authentic as I can be. I look forward to connecting with others, in a number of ways.

So bear with me while I learn the ropes and navigate my way through this new adventure. Thank you for taking the time to check out my very first blog post; you’ve already supported me by doing so!

Much love,

Marissa
